Bovine semen from the EU
Models of the required veterinary import certificates and (as far as available) lists of approved countries of origin and supplying establishments.
They apply with reservation as to import bans, temporary sanitary restrictions and special conditions in force at the time of import (see Links).
A general import permit from the Federal office of agriculture is in any case necessary to import bovine semen, address see at start page “import of semen, embryos and ova”

The semen must conform to the requirements of

Approved supplying establishments in (collecting stations / centres / embryo collection teams) in the EU
Lists of approved supplying establishments in the EU (see Links).
Models of the prescribed import certificates
For semen collected before 1.1.2005, dispatched from an approved semen collection centre:

Please note that only semen from centres in which bulls are not vaccinated against IBR is eligible, only the first option is therefore accepted under number II 1.4, the second option has to be crossed.
For semen collected after 1.1.2005, dispatched from an approved semen collection centre:

No specific guarantees required with respect to IBR, because the centres have to be “free of IBR” from this date on.
For imports and transits of semen dispatched from an approved semen storage centre or an approved semen collection centre, if the semen was not collected there:
